Overview
Urban-based youth leaders have expressed the need for “Inspire Sports Camps” more than any other resource because it gives young people a hope and vision for growing up. Inspire Sports Camps is a Gospel-focused sleep-away sports camp for young people from inner-city neighborhoods. Since 2012, ISC has served leaders and campers from cities all across the Northeast USA. Each day camp is packed with high-quality sports training in basketball, soccer, dance, and includes activities like hiking, fishing, and high adventure. Each night includes bands, DJ's, and dynamic speakers who lay out a different aspect of the Gospel. ISC staff training is highly intentional and their program is completely relationship based. Our goal is for young people to not only hear the message but experience Christ's love in an environment away from the normal distractions of everyday life. God moves powerfully at camp, and each week, campers make a life-changing decision to follow Jesus Christ!
Age Range
Students entering 3-11th grades (9-17 years old).
Summer Staff Information
ISC Summer Staff are recruited and carefully selected from a pool of applicants at major universities and smaller private and/or Christian colleges. Inspire Sports Camps trained counselors build personal relationships with their campers through a variety of shared experiences throughout the week. The counselor to camper ratio is 1:5 or 1:6 based on cabin or dormitory assignments.
